With the assemblage of family and friends filling DBC's Theater Center, the highly anticipated Music Student Fall Concert was an event not to be missed as well as remembered as the overwhelming leap into cultural arts set fall semester.

Presented by the humanities, cultural and studio arts departments, this spectacle of enchanting and whimsical performances led audience members on a magical journey into the world of classical music.

Students performed songs individually and were accompanied by Mr. Richard Butler, lead pianist. With cool vocals and an innate sense of their environment, student tenor and sopranos romanced the air with a mellow execution coupled with instrumentalists using a wide range of brass instruments such as the trumpet, trombone, tuba and baritone.

Songs were played well with little to no discrepancies. Though tension and anxiety could be felt closest the entrance, students left the stage with a round of applause and the feeling of accomplishment on their brightly lit faces. All in all, students performed flawlessly.

If you have ever witnessed one of DBC's many talented and distinguished student musicians perform, this night set the theme for the stylistic deliverance of famous musical entities such as Giulio Caccini, Samuel Barber, Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakov and the ever popular giant of classical music, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

Throughout the evening an ample feeling of musical enlightenment uplifted the mind and smoothed a path heading the soul, not only for the audience but for aspiring student musicians as well.
