Wants to allow homeowners to maintain previous property tax level when moving between towns and counties; is pro-business and wishes to lower taxes and minimize government involvement in corporate Florida.

Environment
Against drilling offshore and fights for full funding to protect the Everglades.
Education
Wants higher teacher salaries, smaller classrooms, a revamp of the FCAT, and supports parents' choice of public schools.
Abortion - Abortion rights advocate, but against partial-birth abortions.
Taxation/Insurance
Created the Contract with Florida Taxpayers, which could reduce property taxes by $1 billion next year.
Immigration
Supports amnesty and voted to extend Immigrant Residency rules.
Hurricanes
Supports a national catastrophe fund; has created the Hurricane Premium Protection Fund which will lower rates by providing capital to insurance companies, allowing them to pay claims in a timely and efficient manner.

Against offshore drilling; proposes a 3 year halt on condo development.
Education
Wants to remove the FCAT and procure higher wages for teachers.

Wants Washington to foot the bill for social services given to illegal immigrants instead of the states; no amnesty.

Does not want taxpayers to subsidize developers and wealthy homeowners who choose to put multi-million dollar properties in coastal areas.
