As the affect of our troubled economy begins to effect more students, it has left many looking for new ways to financially sustain. On Jan 20 this help could be closer than many students think. While the United States Census Bureau estimates more than 11 million students receive some form of financial aid, it leaves around 10 million students that do not receive any aid.

When students first set foot on the Daytona State College Daytona campus it doesn't take long to notice the amount of students smoking cigarettes, with a proposal to end on campus smoking that could change. Whether students smoking are walking to class or gathering around an ashtray it becomes apparent that many smokers have little or no regard to how they discard their cigarette butts.
